World Day for Animals in Labs 2022 – Portland
Join local activists for this international day of action as we protest ONPRC’s horrifying abuse of monkeys used in cruel and useless experiments that are funded with taxpayer dollars.
WHERE: Meet at the sidewalk on the corner of NW Walker Ave and NW 185th St in front of Burgerville.
The protest will start at 1pm sharp. We will continue until 2pm at which time we walk down to the primate facility for the vigil and then make our way to the max stop to chalk.
PUBLIC TRANSIT & PARKING:
There are bus and max stops nearby (Willow Creek/SW 185th Ave TC MAX Station). Plan your trip: https://trimet.org/home/
If you are driving allow time for parking (free parking in nearby lots).
1. We encourage mask use but it is not required unless requested by an attendee. Please reach out if you or a loved one is immune-compromised or prefer that all attendees wear a mask.
2. Please dress sharp as it helps our message come across even stronger.
3. All materials such as posters and leaflets will be provided but you are welcome to make your own OHSU specific posters.
