Portland Outreach – World Aquatic Animal Day 2022

The theme of this year’s World Aquatic Animal Day is Disentangling the Sustainability Myth in Fishing and Aquaculture. Join local activists as we educate the public on how the only sustainable fish is plant-based fish.

DETAILS:
WHERE: Meet at the sidewalk on the corner of NW Couch and NW 12th in front of Whole Foods Portland.

PUBLIC TRANSIT & PARKING:

If you are driving allow time for parking (paid street and lot parking near by ).

WHEN:
The protest will start at 2:30pm sharp. We will continue until 3:30pm at which time we will take a group photo so those interested can arrive to the community event at Lewis and Clark by 4pm.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Protective facemasks are required. Please dress sharp as it helps our message come across even stronger.
*All materials such as posters and leaflets will be provided by the organizer.

World Aquatic Animal Day is an annual day dedicated to aquatic animals. This FREE event—launched for the first time on April 3, 2020—is a project of the Aquatic Animal Law Initiative and the Animal Law Clinic at the Center for Animal Law Studies. The theme for 2022 is Disentangling the Sustainability Myth in Fishing and Aquaculture.
